This is the location that epitomizes Legal Sea Foods. Experience superb fresh seafood and vintage wines in our flagship restaurant in the throbbing heart of downtown Boston’s Theater District. The setting is steps from headline performances at Citicorp Center, luxury shopping on Newbury Street, and historic Boston Common. The restaurant is also an easy stroll from many fine hotels. The focal point at the restaurant’s streetside entry is a dramatic fountain that cascades down as a spiral staircase wraps around the water sprays. While the intimate upstairs bar is flanked by sophisticated dining areas, up to 60 guests can be ensconced in the cozy hideaway lounge just below. The entire menu can be prepared for speedy takeout, and we offer celiac and foreign-language menus.
Park in the convenient Motor Mart Garage (limited validation, call for details) and the elevator will connect you directly to the restaurant lobby. Or try neighborhood meter parking.
To match our top-notch cuisine, the Wine Cellar boasts over 800 wine labels and 10,000 bottles showcased in a state-of-the-art wine cellar. Complete with temperature-controlled rooms, custom red cedar floor-to-ceiling wine racks, and glass display walls filled with vintage wines, Legal Sea Foods has created a world-class working wine cellar, a private dining room, a state-of-the-art private "board room", and a generously-proportioned dining space (that can be separated into two private rooms) unlike any other in Boston. Glowing sconces shed soft light and well-spaced tables offer privacy. It’s the perfect jewel-box setting for private dining events, both social and corporate.
