Legal Sea Foods Returns to Park Square in All-New Location

The iconic New England-based restaurant brand opened its new Park Square location with a glamorous celebration attended by local partners, area retailers and residents

BOSTON, MASS. – (November 15, 2022) - Legal Sea Foods Restaurant Group, the iconic New England-based seafood dining brand with over 24 locations along the East Coast, has officially returned to Boston’s Park Square neighborhood opening its newest restaurant. Located at 79 Park Plaza, at the corner of Arlington Street at The Heritage On The Garden, the property opened its doors for soft opening on November 3, 2022.

On Wednesday, November 9th, the restaurant hosted a grand opening celebration, attended by Boston VIP’s, local community leaders, Heritage tenants, PPX Hospitality leadership and supplier partners. The party began with an oyster-shucking ceremony to congratulate the opening team and officially welcome “Legal” to the Park Square neighborhood.

“The dedication of our hard-working staff and loyal guests throughout the years have helped to make our return to Park Square a success,” said Ann Marie Escobar, Brand President and Chief Operating Officer of Legal Sea Foods Restaurant Group. “We are thankful to the team at The Heritage On The Garden and the Park Square community for welcoming us with open arms. We look forward to hosting you.”

As part of the celebration, guests sipped a variety of specialized beer, wine and spirits that worked in partnership with Legal Sea Foods to create noteworthy collaborations. Earlier this month, the restaurant began pouring a private-label Louis Latour, a special Burgundy chardonnay cuvee, which is a culmination of a decades-long collaboration between great minds and palates on both sides of the ocean. The brand also collaborated with long-time partners at Trimbach, one of France’s greatest winemaking dynasties to debut a new wines-by-the-glass selection of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Inspired by Julia Child in the 70’s, the LSF / Trimbach partnership is now nearly 50 years young! For beer, “Legal” featured its exclusive brew of “Legally Hazy,” a recently-debuted IPA in partnership with Night Shift Brewing. The Legal Sea Foods team worked directly with the brewmasters to develop a flavor that pairs well with fish and shellfish, creating a unique experience for seafood diners.

Guests enjoyed a combination of passed hors d’oeuvres and light bites throughout the event created by the Legal Sea Foods culinary team. A raw bar boat and ice sculpture housed specialty oysters provided from Legal’s long time partner, Scorton Creek Oyster of Cape Cod. Cups of signature lobster bisque and New England clam chowder were flowing – a staple of the Legal brand. Lastly, the restaurant highlighted select items from their recently launched winter menu including crab cake sliders and sesame crusted tuna.

The location boasts over 7,500 square feet, featuring a large horseshoe-shaped bar, open raw bar, bright and expansive lounge and dining areas, a 25-seat private dining room, and ample patio dining along the bustling Park Plaza – a first for Legal Sea Foods in this neighborhood. To ensure accessibility for all, they have partnered with LAZ Parking to offer discounted rates – granting up to 3 hours of parking for $10 within the restaurant’s hours of operation.

Legal Sea Foods has plans for continued growth down the eastern seaboard and beyond. The brand is casting their net wider than ever, rolling out a new loyalty program which is slated to debut this winter. Early in the new year, the highly anticipated full renovation of the Burlington Mall Legal Sea Foods will conclude and the restaurant will reopen with a fully enclosed patio. The first out-of-state new restaurant openings since the pandemic will also occur in 2023. Mid-winter, Legal will open in Virginia at Town Center Virginia Beach, and later, the company will make its way to Chicago, opening its first Midwest location along the Chicago River in Marina City.

Legal Sea Foods Park Square is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more information, visit legalseafoods.com/locations/boston-park-square or follow along on Facebook @LegalSeaFoods, Twitter @LegalSeaFoods, or Instagram @LegalSeaFoods.
